Whitewater River Rafting Friends and Partners
We have developed several strong rafting and kayaking partnerships
with several white water outfitters and webmasters in the United States.
Some of these companies we have worked for and others are friends who
run great rafting trips. Others are sites with information and pictures
of white water rafting and kayaking. We fully support and endorse these
rafting and kayaking outfitters who run safe, professional, and fun trips.
These are the sites that we check daily for information.
If you are interested in a whitewater rafting trip in the United States
we would highly recommend Echo River
Trips as well as W.E.T. River Trips.
Both of these companies run very safe and professional rafting trips.
Echo runs the Middle
Fork of the Salmon River as well as the Main
Salmon in Idaho, the Rogue
River in Oregon, and the Tuolumne
River in California. These are all two to six day wilderness and lodge
trips. W.E.T. River Trips runs the
South Fork of the American,
the Middle Fork of the
American, the North Fork
of the American, the Klamath, and the California Salmon (the 'Cal
Salmon') all of which are in California. Although most of their trips
are one day trips, the have several multiple day options. Their main guide,
Saul Gleser, is a true rafting legend and you will be lucky to land on
a trip with him as your guide.
Several of our good friends and white water paddling partners offer great
informational web sites for white water rafting and kayaking. Perhaps
the best is Bill Tuthill's California
Creekin'. Bill and friends describe over 100 whitewater kayaking and
rafting runs throughout California and beyond with great writing style
and wit. Along with the river descriptions there are great pictures of
each run. River rafters in California often use California
Whitewater Rafting as a resource with river descriptions and flow
information. Another site is Kev's Mom,
a wacky rafting and kayaking site put together by several California kayakers
that were bored one day when no rivers were flowing. This site includes
rafting and kayaking stories,
pictures, and a discussion
board as well as some other strange white water resources. Another great
resource for water-based sports is WetDawg
which offers information, stories and discussion about all water sports.
We visit the white
water section for great paddling pictures and discussion.
